Creator platform (current)

• Own performance and reliability for the creator app across the web app, Django backend and React Native shell. Make the app faster to open and more stable for creators.
• Handle the Android and React Native upgrades needed to stay on the Play Store, and fix long-standing crashes and deep link issues.
• Improve load-time instrumentation so the team has numbers it can trust.
• Set up end-to-end testing with Maestro so releases depend less on manual QA.

Shopping app (1M MAU) · v1, since sunset, being rebuilt by another team

• Built backend services in Python/Django, including REST APIs and Celery-based async pipelines.
• Shipped Stories, Filters, Creator Discovery and Notifications, which moved retention and conversions.
• Reduced startup time from 4s to under 1.5s and cut CPU and memory usage by about 50%.
• Optimized shorts/reels playback.

Software Development Engineer II · India

Led architecture and end-to-end delivery across mission-critical B2B and B2C products, setting the technical direction for the team while staying hands-on across the full stack.

• Architected an internal data platform end to end: Node.js services that scraped and cleaned data, exposed it through APIs, and powered a Google Sheets UI backed by MongoDB, with ETL scripts that let solver teams verify and modify data at scale.
• Built a Chrome extension that lets users screenshot a math problem on any page and get a step-by-step solution with interactive chat and hints.
• Drove a B2C mobile app where students photograph a math problem and learn core concepts visually through highly interactive UI: drag-and-drop inputs, charts, and graphs.
• Designed backend APIs in Python/Django and helped set up CI/CD pipelines with the DevOps team.
• Guided a team of 10+ engineers and interns through architecture, engineering standards, code review, and mentorship.

Built ByteLearn's B2B platform for schools that powered teaching and learning at scale.

• Owned and built the B2B student platform end to end, enabling step-by-step problem solving through an interactive chatbot that builds real conceptual understanding; later inherited the teacher platform from another team and drove new features and improvements to assignment creation and grading workflows.
• Designed the systems behind automated grading, learning-gap identification, and targeted practice, helping students improve where it mattered most.
• Built the backend in Python/Django with PostgreSQL, and the frontend in React and Next.js, delivering a cohesive full-stack platform.
• Designed high-throughput REST APIs and automated ETL pipelines to process data at scale.
• Partnered closely with cross-functional AI (Chatbot) and DevOps teams to ship interactive features and streamline release pipelines.

Owned the end-to-end delivery of an interactive system for teaching math through an AI chatbot, from defining the specs to integrating the systems behind it.

• Built a highly interactive, engaging learning experience from scratch, using dynamic charts, graphs, dot plots, and drag-and-drop inputs to help students grasp math concepts visually and interactively.
• Authored the specifications for solver teams and defined the API contracts governing how the system consumes and exchanges data.
• Integrated the solver and chatbot systems with the frontend, connecting the full pipeline from problem-solving logic to the interactive student experience.

Freelance Full-Stack Engineer (during college) · India

Freelanced through college for 2.5 years, shipping real products for clients across government, education, enterprise and startups, long before my first full-time role. Highlights:

• Built the real-time chat system for MachPrinciple, a social networking platform for researchers and academicians, with instant messaging, full-screen and popup modes, and document sharing (React, Node.js, Express, Socket.io).
• Architected the LearninTV social media app and its backend, a platform for skill-building through short-form video (Android MVVM, Kotlin, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Redis, AWS).
